How big is the choir?

We currently have 40 members, and now at the start of  the Spring/Summer term, 2013, we are actively recruiting new members for all parts. 

When does the choir meet?

Rehearsals are on Monday evenings in term time from 7.30 to 9.00pm at Hounsdown School, near Totton, Southampton.

How do I join?

Contact the Secretary, Mike Hutton on 02380 812292 or email MlCHAEL.HUTTON2@WHlCH.NET (This e-address has been fudged to render it less visible to website crawlers.Don't 'ControlCopy/Insert' it. Key it in as it looks not as it is.) Mike will invite you to come along to a couple of rehearsals to see if you like our style. If so, you will be invited to meet some members of the committee before formally joining us.

How much will it cost?                                                   

Fees are currently £25 per term.

Do I have to buy music?

No. Most of the music is packaged into numbered sets and issued to members in a box file. The music remains the property of the choir and is returnable if you relinquish your membership.

Must I be able to read music?

The ability to sight read the music is desirable and gives you a definite advantage, but we learn the music together in rehearsal time. The prime requirement is that you can hold your part and enjoy four-part singing.
